The Braschi Museum
Considering how close it is to the Piazza navona, the Palazzo Braschi is not very well known. It has an excellent collection of exhibits from the medieval period in Rome onwards. When I went there was a special exhibition showing art from the Soviet era in the USSR. I got talking to an Italian architect who was also visiting the museum who pointed out that a very famous Italian architect (who's dead now, and I can't remember his name) had copied one of his more famous designs from the picture called sovietprop.jpg that is shown underneath. The Braschi is notable for the fact that the pillars on its stairways were taken from Caligula's Palace on the Palatine. Here's a link to a website that can tell you a little more about the museum.
