Area Sacra S. Omobono

Here's a link. The area contains the remains of a temple dedicated to the Goddess Mater Matuta. She was the mother of Portunus and the temple, first constructed at the beginning of the Sixth century BC was destroyed by fire and rebuilt within the first hundred years. More on this later. I have some research to do. :-)
