Links

You may know of a site that is excellent, but not listed here. If you do, then please email me and let me know. One point to note is that I do not usually post links to sites with pop-ups. This is because I despise them. This links page is still being worked on, but I hope to have it finished very soon.

Links with the Forum
http://www.forumromanum.org/index2.html Forum Romanum. An excellent site, with everything you need.
Lacus Curtius Tour of the Forum The Lacus Curtius. http://www.ukans.edu/history/index/europe/ancient_rome/E/Roman/home.html is the definitive site on Ancient Rome.
http://www.iei.net/~tryan/h-colfor.htm A virtual tour of the Forum and the Colosseum. It should be good when it's finished
http://www.athenapub.com/romeanc.htm The Athena Review is an excellent site overall, this section has a few nice pictures. It's well worth getting the free copy of their magazine.
http://www.ancientworlds.net Ancient Worlds is an on line role playin/discussion group, there is a walkthrough reconstruction of the Forum which, although dark, is quite good. http://www.ancientworlds.net/aw/SPQR/GamePage is the game itself.
http://www.jmiller.demon.co.uk/ A useful site with maps of Rome, the Forum, and the Empire

http://www.capitolium.org/ The Official Roman Forum site. Excellent. It contains a web cam of the Forum, though I have to admit I've not yet been on whilst it is working.
http://www.quiknet.com/~fifi/index50.html Want to see what the Forum used to look like? This is a fantastic model. It takes a long time to load up, but go and put a cup of tea on, it's worth it!
http://www.greatbuildings.com/buildings/The_Roman_Forum.html Again, this page has a pop up attached, but the views of the forum using pictures from a century ago help to show some of the development of the site.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Forum Wilkpedia is an online encyclopedia. Be warned, although a handy research tool its entries come from online submissions and may not been subjected to professional review. Still, nearly all of the information I have found on it has tended to be accurate.
